This is the smaller 12-inch Scoot. For the older RB227-series colours, Ridgeback has listed roughly 90–100cm rider height and ages 3–5. Ridgeback also publishes a newer 12-inch Scoot with a broader approximate 86–103cm range and ages 2.5–4; these specifications are not interchangeable across versions. Please check the exact colour/SKU before relying on a range. Most importantly, the child should be able to place both feet flat on the ground while seated, steer comfortably and reach the rear brake lever.

A: No. The child pushes with their feet, learning to balance and steer before progressing to a pedal bicycle.
