The Cateye ViZ 300 is a compact rechargeable rear cycle light designed to make you more noticeable on busy roads, at junctions and during daylight rides. Its three red LEDs and OptiCube optics deliver up to 300 lumens in Daytime Hyperflash mode, with a broad 300-degree spread of visibility around the bike.
Four settings cover different situations: Constant, Flashing, Group Ride and Daytime Hyperflash. The Group Ride mode provides a lower-intensity pattern for cycling with others, while the brighter daytime mode helps attract attention in traffic. A battery-saving function switches the lamp to a flashing mode as charge runs low, and mode memory retains the last-used setting.
The lightweight ViZ 300 mounts using Cateye’s Snap System and SP-15 seatpost bracket, designed to accommodate a range of round and aerodynamic seatposts. The rechargeable battery offers approximately 5 hours in Constant mode, 45 hours Flashing and 10 hours Daytime Hyperflash. IPX4 water resistance helps with use in the rain. Check the connector version on the supplied unit because Cateye has produced both Micro-USB and later USB-C versions.
