The Cateye AMPP 900 and ViZ 300 light set combines a high-output front headlight with a highly visible rechargeable rear lamp. At the front, the aluminium-bodied AMPP 900 delivers up to 900 lumens through Cateye’s OptiCube lens for a wide forward beam and strong side visibility. The ViZ 300 adds three red LEDs and approximately 300-degree visibility at the rear, making this a practical combination for commutes and regular night training.
The AMPP 900 has five settings, including 900-lumen High for approximately two hours, 400-lumen Middle for three hours and 200-lumen Low for five hours. Its Daytime HyperConstant and Flashing settings provide further options, and a three-colour battery indicator shows charge status. The rear ViZ 300 offers Constant, Flashing, Group Ride and 300-lumen Daytime HyperFlash settings. Group Ride provides a gentler output when riding closely behind others, and battery auto-save changes to flashing as power gets low.
The front light charges through USB-C in roughly four to eight hours; Cateye does not include a USB-C cable. The original ViZ 300 in this combo charges through Micro-USB in approximately three hours. Both lights are IPX4-rated for typical wet-weather cycling. Mount the front lamp with its FlexTight bracket and the rear unit with the SP-15 Snap System seatpost bracket.
