Key Benefits

Built for Swimming — IP68-rated headset designed for underwater sessions.
Offline MP3 Player — Play music from 32 GB of internal storage without a phone.
Bluetooth 5.4 on Land — Stream from compatible devices when out of the water.
Up to Nine Hours — Bluetooth playback; up to six hours in MP3 mode.
Easy File Transfer — Magnetic charging/data cable loads music from a computer.

Shokz OpenSwim Pro is a bone-conduction headset designed for swimmers who also want one pair for land-based training. Its secure open-ear frame works with many swim caps and goggles. Use built-in MP3 playback for pool sessions, then switch to Bluetooth audio with a compatible device after leaving the water.

With 32 GB of storage, music files can be loaded from a computer using the magnetic charging and data cable. Bluetooth 5.4 works on land, but streaming is not suitable underwater. The approximately 27.3 g headset offers up to six hours in MP3 mode or nine in Bluetooth mode, with a ten-minute quick charge providing up to three hours. IP68 protection supports swimming within Shokz care guidance.

Suggested Use & Compatibility

For pool training, load compatible music files onto the 32 GB internal storage using the supplied magnetic data/charging cable and a computer, then select MP3 mode before entering the water. Bluetooth signals do not travel reliably through water, so a phone or smartwatch cannot stream music to the headset while swimming. The wraparound design is compatible with many swimming caps and goggles; check for a secure, comfortable fit before starting a session.

For running, gym sessions and other above-water activities, use Bluetooth 5.4 with compatible smartphones, tablets and Bluetooth audio devices. Up to nine hours of listening applies to Bluetooth mode, while MP3 mode offers up to six hours under manufacturer test conditions. Follow Shokz’s IP68 depth and duration limits, rinse after pool use, and ensure charging contacts are completely dry before connecting the magnetic cable. An open-ear design does not guarantee awareness of traffic or other hazards outside the pool.

Why We Choose Shokz

We choose Shokz for its focus on comfortable open-ear audio that fits the way people move. Its range includes bone-conduction headsets such as OpenRun and OpenSwim, alongside open-ear air-conduction earbuds such as OpenFit and OpenDots. We value that choice of designs, from running and everyday listening to swimming-specific models, without treating every product as the same technology.

Two audio approaches — Shokz offers both bone-conduction headsets and open-ear air-conduction earbuds.
Thoughtful fit options — Wraparound bands, flexible earhooks and clip-on designs suit different preferences.
Built for different routines — Choose from models for running, commuting, everyday use and selected swimming activities.
Check model-specific features — Water resistance, battery life, calls and charging options vary across the range.
Open-ear responsibility — Keeping the ears unobstructed can support awareness, but never guarantees that hazards will be heard.
