Key Benefits

Open-Ear Comfort — Air-Earhook design rests outside the ear canal.
DirectPitch Audio — Custom dynamic driver provides balanced music and speech.
Light Earbuds — Approximately 8.7 g per earbud for easy everyday wear.
28 Hours with Case — Up to 28 hours of total listening including case recharges.
IP54 Earbud Protection — Ready for sweat and light splashes; case is not waterproof.

Shokz OpenFit Air earbuds are made for training, commuting and everyday listening without the plugged-in feel of in-ear headphones. Their flexible Air-Earhook rests around the outer ear while Shokz DirectPitch delivers sound from a custom dynamic driver. Unlike the OpenRun range, these are true wireless air-conduction earbuds rather than bone-conduction headphones.

At approximately 8.7 g per earbud, OpenFit Air is comfortable for walks, light workouts and desk use. Bluetooth 5.2 supports compatible devices, with multipoint pairing and four microphones for calls. Expect up to six hours per charge or 28 hours including case top-ups. The IP54-rated earbuds withstand sweat and light splashes, but the case must stay dry. Keep volume sensible when relying on environmental sounds.

Suggested Use & Compatibility

Well suited to walking, gym sessions, commuting, hybrid working and other everyday activities where independent earbuds and a pocket-sized charging case are useful. Position each flexible Air-Earhook around the ear so that the speaker sits outside the ear canal; OpenFit Air is not a bone-conduction headset or an in-ear sealing earbud. Pair using Bluetooth 5.2 with a compatible phone, tablet or computer, and use multipoint where supported.

Expect up to six hours of listening from the earbuds alone, not 28 hours without a recharge. The case can replenish the earbuds to deliver up to 28 hours total under manufacturer test conditions. The earbuds are IP54-rated for sweat and light splashes, but keep the case dry and avoid swimming. Audio volume and external noise can still affect situational awareness, particularly near traffic.

Why We Choose Shokz

We choose Shokz for its focus on comfortable open-ear audio that fits the way people move. Its range includes bone-conduction headsets such as OpenRun and OpenSwim, alongside open-ear air-conduction earbuds such as OpenFit and OpenDots. We value that choice of designs, from running and everyday listening to swimming-specific models, without treating every product as the same technology.

Two audio approaches — Shokz offers both bone-conduction headsets and open-ear air-conduction earbuds.
Thoughtful fit options — Wraparound bands, flexible earhooks and clip-on designs suit different preferences.
Built for different routines — Choose from models for running, commuting, everyday use and selected swimming activities.
Check model-specific features — Water resistance, battery life, calls and charging options vary across the range.
Open-ear responsibility — Keeping the ears unobstructed can support awareness, but never guarantees that hazards will be heard.
