The original Amazfit T-Rex Ultra is a heavy-duty outdoor GPS smartwatch aimed at long hikes, technical trails, mountain training and expeditions. Its stainless-steel bezel, back panel and buttons surround a resilient polymer-alloy case, with mud-resistant construction and four tactile controls. A 1.39-inch AMOLED screen provides a clear 454 × 454 display, and dual-band satellite positioning supports six GNSS systems for recording routes beyond city streets.
Downloadable offline maps and route navigation help when exploring without a mobile signal. On updated software, the watch also supports contour maps, turn-by-turn directions, Readiness and HRV insights. Training tools include structured workouts, PeakBeats performance analysis and connections to compatible Bluetooth heart-rate belts and cycling power meters. The original T-Rex Ultra does not include a built-in speaker or microphone, so stored music requires compatible Bluetooth headphones and it cannot take Bluetooth phone calls.
A 500 mAh battery provides up to 20 days of typical use, nine days under heavier use or around 28 hours in accurate GPS mode. The 10 ATM rating and model-specific guidance cover selected water activities and freediving to 30 metres. The watch measures approximately 47.3 × 47.3 × 13.45 mm and weighs about 89 g without its strap. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 and a magnetic charging base. This is the original T-Rex Ultra, not the newer Ultra 2 with different hardware and battery figures.
