The Amazfit T-Rex 3 is a rugged GPS smartwatch built for hiking, trail running, cycling and demanding outdoor training. Its 1.5-inch AMOLED screen reaches up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, with a 480 × 480 resolution that keeps maps and workout data easy to read in bright conditions. A stainless-steel bezel, four physical buttons and a responsive glove mode make the watch practical when the weather changes or touchscreen operation is less convenient.
Dual-band satellite positioning supports six GNSS systems, while downloadable offline maps, imported routes and turn-by-turn directions help with navigation on unfamiliar trails. The watch offers 177 sports modes, structured workout options and compatible external workout-device connections. Heart-rate, blood-oxygen, sleep and recovery tracking feed the Zepp app and training insights. Its 10 ATM water-resistance rating and manufacturer diving certification support selected water activities, including freediving within the stated 45 m limit; always follow the model-specific water-use guidance.
The 700 mAh battery lasts up to 27 days with typical use or up to 42 hours in accurate GPS mode. The headline 180-hour GPS figure is only available in restricted maximum-battery settings for supported outdoor modes, with reduced features and tracking settings. Bluetooth 5.2 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi handle device connection and downloads. Charging takes approximately three hours using the supplied magnetic base and a separately provided USB-C cable. This is the original T-Rex 3, not the T-Rex 3 Pro.
