Falcon Turbine Electric Mountain Bike

Falcon supplies the Turbine in one medium/large frame size and recommends a rider height of 5ft 4in–6ft 2in (162–188cm). Check standover space, inside leg, saddle adjustment, handlebar reach and the ability to operate both brakes comfortably. This height range is a guide, not a guaranteed fit, particularly near either end of the band.

For direct delivery, Tandem Group Cycles states that its electric bikes are assembled and checked by its workshop team, then protected and re-boxed for transport. Some final set-up is still needed after delivery: remove packaging, align and secure the handlebars, fit the remaining pedal if applicable, set the saddle height, tighten any bolts adjusted during unpacking and check that the bike operates safely. Charge and care for the battery in accordance with its manual. If you are not confident making these adjustments or checks, arrange assistance from a competent bicycle mechanic before riding.

We choose the Turbine as a practical way to add electric support to casual mixed-surface riding. Its 35Nm motor, substantial tyres, 120mm suspension travel and familiar seven-speed transmission offer useful versatility for riders who want confidence on everyday trails without seeking a specialist full-suspension e-MTB.

How many assistance levels and gears does it have?

The motor has five pedal-assist settings and walk assist. The separate mechanical drivetrain has seven gears.

Can I remove the battery to charge it?

Yes. The integrated 368Wh battery is lockable and removable for charging on or off the bike.

How far will it travel on a charge?

Falcon claims up to 40 miles (64km) in favourable conditions. Terrain, load, temperature and assistance level affect real-world range.

Is the Turbine suitable for demanding downhill mountain biking?

It is intended for everyday mixed-surface and lighter trail riding; it is not specified for jumps or technical downhill use.
