The Cateye Air GPS is a straightforward GPS cycle computer for recording everyday rides without a separate wheel-speed sensor. Its built-in GPS measures speed and distance, while the three-row display keeps key ride figures in view. The ClickTec interface makes it easy to move between screens with a press, and the middle and lower rows can be customised through the Cateye Cycling smartphone app.
The computer measures current, average and maximum speed, trip and total distance, moving time, time of day and temperature. Optional compatible Bluetooth sensors can add cadence, heart rate or wheel-based speed readings. After a ride, transfer your data to the Cateye Cycling app for review and upload to supported platforms such as Strava and TrainingPeaks. A backlight helps in low light, while the FlexTight bracket provides a tidy handlebar or stem mount.
The original Air GPS model CC-GPS100 offers approximately 10 hours of use per charge, up to 80 hours of recorded ride data and a Micro-USB charging connection. Its compact 39 g body is rated IPX7 for water resistance. This model is intended for ride recording and training metrics; it is not a route-navigation computer. Smartphone compatibility should be checked before purchasing.
