The Blackburn Dayblazer 1000 is a compact USB-rechargeable front bicycle light with up to 1,000 lumens of output. It is designed to help illuminate the road ahead on dark commutes and evening rides, while an attention-grabbing Blitz setting and useful side visibility help make your presence more noticeable to other road users. Its action-camera-style fitting offers versatile mounting with a compatible handlebar bracket.
Five output modes adapt the light to different journeys. Blitz produces 1,000 lumens for approximately 1.5 hours and High delivers 500 lumens for around three hours. Low offers 350 lumens for approximately 5.5 hours; Pulse gives about 6.5 hours at 210 lumens, while Strobe gives up to 15 hours at 100 lumens. You can therefore select stronger illumination for darker stretches or a lower-consumption mode for longer journeys.
The integrated rechargeable battery charges using Micro-USB, with the manufacturer specifying approximately five hours for a full recharge. An LED indicator makes charge status easier to check, while IP67 protection covers dust ingress and short-term immersion in water. The Dayblazer 1000 is a versatile front light for regular road cyclists, with a matching rear light available separately.
