The Cateye AMPP 200 is a compact 200-lumen rechargeable front cycle light for everyday commuting, city trips and leisure rides. Its simple handlebar-mounted design adds forward illumination and excellent side visibility without the size and weight of a high-output road light. The flexible rubber strap makes fitting and removing the light straightforward.
Unlike the lower-output AMPP 100, the AMPP 200 has three settings. High delivers 200 lumens for approximately 1.5 hours, Low provides 40 lumens for around 13 hours and Flashing offers up to 30 hours. Mode memory helps you resume your preferred setting, and a double press switches quickly to Flashing. A low-battery indicator warns you when charge is running down.
The integrated 800 mAh lithium-ion battery recharges from USB in approximately 2.5 hours, and the original HL-EL042RC version uses Micro-USB. At roughly 62 g with an IPX4 water-resistance rating, the AMPP 200 is a practical choice for riders who want more output and lighting flexibility than a basic two-mode front lamp. USB-C and AMPP 200 II versions exist, so the exact supplied model should be checked before specifying replacement cables.
