The HOY Pentland 20" Kids Bike is a lightweight, confidence-building children’s bike designed for young riders who are ready to progress to their first geared bike. Recommended for children aged 6 years and above, with a minimum inside leg of 53.5cm and minimum height of 113cm / 3'8", it gives growing cyclists a properly sized bike for family rides, school runs, local paths and weekend adventures.
Built around a lightweight 6061 triple-butted aluminium frame with a full alloy fork, the HOY Pentland 20 is designed to be easy to handle, stable and responsive. Weighing approximately 8.2kg, it helps younger riders ride with control and comfort, while wide handlebars, 20 x 1.50” junior tyres and internal cable routing add confidence, grip and a clean finish. The bike also features disc-specific double-wall alloy rims and a custom HOY Junior saddle for everyday comfort.
For reliable performance across varied routes, the HOY Pentland 20" Kids Bike features a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain, including a 32T chainring and wide-range cassette, helping children tackle hills, paths and longer rides more easily. Tektro mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors and junior-specific reach-adjust levers provide strong, controlled stopping power, while shorter 127mm cranks support a smoother, more natural pedalling action for young riders.
